When you have a professional on your side, it can be a smooth transaction, and there’s no need to be scared.  How Can I Help? The first step is for us to sit down together and have an informal, relaxed, person to person discussion about the price and time frame you wish to meet in the sale of your home. The next step is evaluating the right marketing plan for reaching your goals, and your real estate needs. It’s a tremendous advantage to create an individually tailored marketing plan for every home. What I Can Do for You?There are many things I do to find buyers, including creating special feature flyers for your home, holding open houses, developing ads, sharing single property websites online, and exposing your property to other local and nationwide REALTORS®.The more exposure your home...

You’ve found your dream home. You’re finally getting out of that Houston, Texas apartment as rent rates are on the rise and moving into your new San Antonio home. You’re pre-approved for the mortgage, your offer was accepted, and now the real work begins.Your offer to purchase may have given you an option period that you paid a few hundred dollars for. The option period allows you to cancel your offer and pay nothing except the dollars you have paid for the option. During this period, the owner can’t make a deal with anyone else, and you have locked in your right to purchase. At this point, it is necessary for you to get a home inspection, because if you find significant problems that you don’t think can be properly corrected, this is the time to cancel the transaction. The inspection--e...

As we get right into the swing of things this summer, the San Antonio housing market continues to outpace last year. May showed an eight percent increase in home sales over last year for a total of 3,326 homes sold, according to the Multiple Listing Service Report from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), which reports on all areas in and around San Antonio. The average and median prices both experienced a five percent increase over last year with the average price rising to $270,324, and the median price increasing to $231,900. Inventory of available homes for sale still remained low at 3.6 months, which was a slight decrease from last May’s 3.7 months of supply.  It’s normal to see prices rising over the summer months, since many folks are moving while school is out from June to...

Moving? That’s the last thing any of us probably want to do, but a new school, warmer location, nicer neighborhood or many other reasons could be the cause. Maybe you’re moving from a small Denver apartment to the San Antonio suburbs; or maybe it’s just from one neighborhood to the next one over.Perhaps your real estate agent found you an awesome place and navigated high interest rates to get you a great deal and you’re finally moving into that brand-new home.Regardless, moving doesn’t always have to be the total pain you think it might be if you follow some simple guidelines. And if you have...The Luxury of TimeIf you know well in advance that you are going to have to move, taking advantage of that time is paramount. While quick moves are sometimes unavoidable, it’s your own fault if y...

Many issues come up during divorce. One of the most common involves property settlement. In fact, it is often among the most contested of divorce issues. Even in an amicable divorce settlement, property division can be difficult and challenging. A lot of work and planning goes into this part of the divorce. Property covers both real property, such as the couple’s home, and personal property, such as household items or cars. Some don’t realize that there could be issues hidden from one spouse or the other through their property. Thousands of people have gotten stuck with property...

San Antonio is a Military Spouse Economic Empowerment Zone. This foundation and USAA joined together to focus on areas that have a commitment to the military. San Antonio has always been a military town. It is steeped in its history. We supportour military, honor our military and hated to see any of our bases shut down. Thepicture above is on Fort Sam Houston and has a historical marker stating"Fort Sam Houston National Landmark Historic District Designated by the United States Department of the Interior Infantry Post 1855-1906" This tradition has gone back for many years. And a lot of our residents now have come from other areas of the country because they loved San Antonio when they were stationed here.So to see this program recognize San Antonio is a great honor and privilege as we a...
