Whenever speaking to a group or presenting, I wore kick-ass shoes. Each outfit had a particular pair. They were high heels, and they made me feel confident.                         But when I shredded the tendon in my ankle (I ran a race that I  should have walked), the reconstructive surgery halted the wearing of anything other than flat, sturdy shoes. Did that mean no more speaking? Did that mean despair with the loss of wearing my Kiss Ass shoes? It could have, but I would not allow it.The feeling came from inside of me! Not from how I looked, not from how I dressed, but from how I felt.I could still have that powerful 'in charge' confident attitude. I could 'feel' those shoes. How liberating knowing it was me.Hold your head high, share your knowledge, and help others! You, too, can ...

The Lower Garden DistrictNew Orleans 70130          Once you go under the Mississippi River Expressway you are in the Lower Garden District. A truly historic neighborhood established between 1820 and 1840. At that time is was like living in the country.        The Lower Garden District extends to Jackson Avenue between St. Charles Avenue and the Miss. River. Lots of current activity in the real estate world.       The Lower Garden District area is a short walk to Magazine Street Shops and Eats. Great area to walk and window shop.         There are quite a few condo complexes in the area. They are going to be small complexes as most were converted from apartment buildings and old homes. It's is great area to look and see what a historic neighborhood it is.       I have sold many in the a...

“Mr. Petrowsky, Not sure you remember us, but you helped us get our mortgage 11 years ago and we have made the decision to move to Puerto Rico. Do you do mortgages there? We are at a point that we can’t afford to buy a new home in Central Mass. We are very fortunate that we both work from home and our children are now on their own. Also, can you refer us to a realtor and a house painter that you trust? Looking forward to hearing from you.” I have been a member of a BNI group for 25 years. It is pretty easy for me to find a house painter in central Mass and a real estate agent in western Puerto Rico. I know when I make a referral to a BNI member, they have already been vetted.Who Else Do You Know That Needs My Help?

Glass Hill in Conway SC is an established neighborhood that's perfect if you're looking for a property with a bit of extra space. Home sites are typically 1/2 acre or larger and are surrounded by beautiful oak trees. This gives you plenty of room for gardening, a swimming pool, or even to park your boat or RV on your property - something that's not always possible in other neighborhoods. Glass Hill is also conveniently located only 2 miles from historic downtown Conway and just a 30-minute drive to the Myrtle Beach oceanfront. So if you're looking for a peaceful and spacious property in a great location, Glass Hill should definitely be at the top of your list!Jerry Pinkas Real Estate Experts604 N. 27th Ave Myrtle Beach, SC 29577843-839-9870

Why Its Still a Sellers MarketAs there's more and more talk about the real estate market cooling off from the peak frenzy it saw during the pandemic, you may be questioning what that means for your plans to sell your house. If you're thinking of making a move, you should know the market is still anything but normal.Even though the supply of homes for sale has been growing this year, there's still a shortage of homes on the market. And that means conditions continue to favor sellers today. Thats because the level of inventory of homes for sale can help determine if buyers or sellers are in the drivers seat. Think of it like this: A buyers market is when there are more homes for sale than buyers looking to buy. When that happens, buyers have the negotiation power because sellers are more ...

I enjoy reading inspiring quotes from Theodore Roosevelt. Here are a few today to start your Monday: u “You can’t choose your potential, but you can choose to fulfill it.”u “Show me a man who makes no mistakes, and I will show you a man who doesn’t do things.”u “In the long run, the most unpleasant truth is a safer companion than a pleasant falsehood.”u “Honesty first; than courage; than brains – all are indispensable.”u “Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”

When the pandemic hit in 2020, many experts thought the housing market would crash. They feared job loss and economic uncertainty would lead to a wave of foreclosures similar to when the housing bubble burst over a decade ago. Thankfully, the forbearance program changed that. It provided much-needed relief for homeowners so a foreclosure crisis wouldn’t happen again. Here’s why forbearance worked. Forbearance enabled nearly five million homeowners to get back on their feet in a time when having the security and protection of a home was more important than ever. Those in need were able to work with their banks and lenders to stay in their homes rather than go into foreclosure. The Real Estate market continues to change this summer with a slow down in sales. Interest rates though, fell slightly with the sharp drop in new mortgage applications. The amount of new listings coming on the market remained the same as last week. Prices have leveled off in most areas. We are not seeing a reduction in actual market values though, BUT are seeing a great reduction of prices on those homes that were listed over to way over what their value actually was. Over pricing a home is one of the leading causes of a home not selling.   You as a consumer have a choice. Not all agents are created the same. Experience matters more than ever as the market changes. Knowing what to expect next. Knowing how to approach these changes. Knowing how to better guide you as a buyer or seller t...

The closing is the last stage in the real estate transaction. It's the day you finalize a real estate transaction and transmit money and keys. You'll formally own a new house at the conclusion of the closing. What to Expect During Closing Procedures A closing is the final step in the purchase of real estate, and it involves two stages: a closing on the acquisition of real estate and a closing on the mortgage loan used to acquire that property. Deeds, mortgages, and other necessary documents will be signed or delivered to complete these two steps. The escrow agent will act as the impartial third party by holding legal papers and money for the buyer, seller, and sometimes a lender during the closing. The agent will distribute all relevant paperwork and funds according to lender recommenda...

Do you ask new clients how they found you?    With so many different social media platforms out there, the public has many areas in which to find you! Here are a few places the public can find me -~ My website~ Google My Business (now Google Business Profile)~ Facebook & Business page~ Instagram~ LinkedIn~ Twitter~ YouTube~ Different designation sites (mostly REALTORS find us there)~ NextDoor~ At an open house~ Realtor Referrals~ And last, by word of mouth The best way is when a past client gives out a rave review to a colleague, friend or family member.   These potential clients already have a good feeling before even meeting!
