    Lilies   The botanic name for  lilies is Lilium.  Growing from bulbs with large flowers which have 6 petals, lilies are often fragrant, and found in colors of white, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and purples.   Lily can be planted in the garden or pots, and bloom between spring and summer.   Some Lily bulbs are edible as a root vegetable like potato.   Change in Attitude   Old attitude changed to new attitude after the Olympics. My husband and I visited Seoul, South Korea; we don't speak their language or know our way around, but do like to adventure.  We arrived at Incheon International Airport and stayed at the Hotel Servilla. The manager was so helpful and friendly. He recommended that we visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and the National Museum of Korea.   He wrote all the directions which required about 2 hours Express train ride (23 stops and 2 changes of stations) with addresses in Korean and English, to make sure that someone could help us if we got lost.  When we did need directions to a ticket booth, we asked a lady who was running a small convenience store for help.  She didn't speak English, but she did leave her store unattend... 06/17/2011

    Venice Chalk Art Festival   The 2nd Venice Chalk Art Festival was held on June 4, 2011 at Miami Avenue Venice FL .The organizers were Venice Art Center- Mary Morris and Venice MainStreet- Mindy Pieper and the sponsor for prizes was Venice Paint - Billy Rafferty. This event brings more people to downtown Venice to have fun, and was created as a community event once a year in early summer.     This year there were 41 participants divided into 4 categories, cost was $5.00 to register. All these young and old participants used chalk to draw their favor picture on the sidewalk. I had an internet request from someone named Wu Gregeory from Canada that wanted to buy one of my better listings in Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club in Venice FL and they wanted me to draft offer for them, $580,000 with $31,000 escrow close in 35 days and they wanted me to have home inspection done and added to HUD.  They emailed me the terms of the contract which seemed OK.  Mr. Gregory also wanted me to get an attorney to represent and close the transaction.  I was very skeptical but did have an open house and several people where there looking for their friends in Canada.  I Googled the name and it came up that he was a doctor so he did have the means to pay for the home (list price was $589,900).  I asked for proof of funds and he sent it to me and the bank checked out.  I still ... 05/31/2011
