This is a Banyan Tree which is one of the many different kinds of trees that line Venice Avenue.  Venice Avenue runs east and west through Venice Florida and this tree is less than one mile from Venice Beach Florida.  This tree is so big and my kids love to try to climb it when we walk to the beach (nerve racking for Mom but fun for kids).

  This is one of my favorite spots in Venice Florida.  Many visitors and residents alike come to visit the Venice Florida Jetties.  The North Jetties are located in Nokomis FL and the South Jetties are located in Venice Florida.  This photo was taken at the South Jetties looking up the coast of Venice Beach.  This area is popular for the surfers in Venice Florida when the waters are stirred up by local storms, by local fisherman looking to catch "the big one" and by visitors looking to spot sharks or dolphins swimming in the distance and of course to view the most spectacular sunsets around.
