Clearwater Florida's intercoastal waterway is a great destination for fishing at any time of year. As the northern states start feeling the season's change in October, we are still out on the boat enjoying the sunshine and catching fresh fish for dinner. Today Ronnie and I went out for a day of relaxation and he caught a 25" redfish which we are going to have for dinner tomorrow night! He also had several snook on the line but none made it to the boat today.  He cleaned the redfish at the boat ramp and had a line of pelican waiting for any scraps that he tossed their way. It was a wonderful day on the water and just one more reason why I love living down here in the Clearwater Florida area - the weather is always great and the fishing rocks! 10/09/2013

That's why the Whole Food Markets, an up an coming health food grocery chain, has announced that it will be opening its doors to Clearwater.       Signing a lease, Whole Foods Market to open on Clearwater's Countryside Mall and will be using the lower level of the mall. Yes, we (better said, Ron) caught a stingray in Clearwater Florida's intercoastal waterway and I managed to get a video of the beautiful being putting up a good fight. Naturally, once I was done videotaping the stingray, Ron brought it close to the boat and released it once again so it can grow.  Fishing in the sparkling waters off Clearwater Florida is something locals and tourists alike love to do! Island Breeze Restaurant in Clearwater Florida is a great destination for great food in a cool atmosphere. It was our destination yesterday! My granddaughter and I picked up two of my Buddhist nun friends, Ani Jampa and Ani Wangmo, at their home and we all went out for some fantastic pulled pork. Clearwater Florida is indeed going all out with their 4th of July 2013 celebration.  Coachman Park will once again be the location for Clearwater's annual 4th of July event, which begins at 4 pm. Mostly Pops Orchestra will perform at 7:30 and the fireworks display, sponsored once again by Bright House Networks will begin at 9:30 pm. There will be activities for the youngsters from 4 pm to 7 pm and admission is totally free.
