Ā  Ā  Ā My great aunt is 103 years old.Ā  A bit frail physically, but sharp as a tack mentally.Ā  Another of my great aunts lived to 102, and I have other relatives who lived into their 90's.Ā  Oh, and Cousin Faye lived to 102, and Cousin Lillian made it to 111.Ā 

Ā  Did I get their genes?Ā  I sure hope so!

I live in denial.
I mask the pains of aging with the pains of extreme exertion. In essence I choose the pain with which I will live.

Even then, I cannot keep up with the 30 year olds with whom I must share the running trails. There is a reality to orbiting the sun many t imes.
The reality is my sunset approaches and I hope to go out with my eyes open. If I've touched enough lives properly my effect may endure a few years longer. Until then I still feel I'm up to the challenge.

Wow, yes. That does make one feel old. I was pregnant with my first child when the trials were going on.

I woke up this morning thinking "I feel old". Then I decided I needed some positive affirmations.Ā 

Here are some affirmations for those of you who need them. #Ifeelgreat

I 100% love and appreciate myself.

Growing older is always going to happen, I am grateful that I can choose to create how I age.

I am aging positively.

I am free to create my own aging experience different from my parents.

I will be refined by ageā„¢ instead of declined by age.

I expect to feel good physically.

I am strong and capable.
