I haven't noticed it here, but think with hurricanes it might be a good idea.

I have to agree as a past client just installed one in a new house but they are out in the boonies of TN. I've only sold 1 here in the suburban area that had one.

There are two that have been installed for a few years now and know of three being installed for medical reasons.

There is a gentleman putting in solar on a portion of twelve acres nearby as well.

YEs, especially among higher end homes.  After the 2 big hurricanes and the snow storm when the leaves were on the trees, many in suburbs had major outages for a week+ 2-3 times.

It is rare that homeowners install generators in Clarksville. We don't have very many storms that knock out power.

No rarely do our clients have a need for a back up generator. When I used to sell country properties I saw that more often.

Jeff, in areas that see long outages it only makes sense.   I have a portable one and only used it once in 5 years, but it save a lot when it did work

I have not Jeff Pearl but I myself have two portable units and a big permanent one has been on my mind for some time. I would hate to be without power during a blizzard like we are having today. Zero degrees and no heat is not a very good experience.
