Anyone asking me for help will get my best effort. Though, I don't plan on subscribing to many other's new blogs till I've developed an interest in their style.

Nearly always.
We add to our subscription list constantly and cull when we find that we have no connection to the blogger.

Yes and I also invite them to ask me questions directly. I remember being a newbie and I needed all the help I could get.

Michael Thornton - yes, we do welcome them and provide the support as needed.
Many of us encourage them by following them and comment on their blogs, too.

ok...as a newbie, i welcome the acceptance , and as a veteran i would cull out the ones that don't have similar.... brain patterns as Wayne said. as Chris and dick said, if we just talk for talks sake, i suspect we would wear thin quick, (you will tire of me soon lol) however all that said... a open forum is exactly that and would welcome divergent points of view, as long as the flapping doesn't go on and on like this answer.

Since I was a newbie at one time, then yes, I try to support them. And I would subscribe to their blog just as I would any other member.
