When you work with first time home buyers, most need financing.
25% or less in best schools neighborhoods. Other areas is less than 20% in Silicon Valley. Very high end(>3 Mil) may be 35% is cash since the tax deduction tapers off.
This is 2015 in South San Francisco Bay, one of the most vibrant real estate markets....

it depends on the inventory....our active adult communities are purchased by cash buyers for the most part....well into the 90% range....
