Prospective home buyers are better to assume that mortgage rates will be rising. It is safer to take advantage of the current low rates rather than taking the chance that they will be available in the future.

I wouldnt think so, because mortgage starts will have to be up for them to want to raise rates and so far they are not. I would think next spring. However getting ever closer to an election, they wont want to raise them when the election heats up.

A couple of months ago they were saying it would happen in June, now they're saying September.  I don't think it'll happen until October or November.
