If so, you need to know more about......You're probably wondering who is Ronald Gorman, St. Louis Realtor? Obviously, I am not a household name or a well known personality in St. Louis.
I'm not trying to be funny, but it seems like every website for a real estate agent has a section devoted to telling the visitor about "who the agent." So, here is "me."
As you can tell by my picture, I am not the youngest agent in town. But, on the other hand, looks can be very deceiving. While I may be classified as a "senior citizen," I don´t know what it means to be "old." While most men my age have retired, my retirement is going to be a long time from now. I just enjoy being in the business world and am very blessed being able to wear the badge of a realtor.
Historically, I grew up in University City, Misssouri. Yes, like the typical St. Louis native, my high school was University City Sr. High. Upon graduating, I went on to get my BSBA from Washington University when tuitions were $325 per semester. That is really hard to believe these days.
After spending 6 months in the Army, I started my business life at Famous Barr where I spent the next 23 years. During that period of time, I served in many different capacities including buying, store management, and merchandising three different divisions.
After 23 years with Famous, I made a major career change and went into the deep, discount drug store business with a friend. During the next 10 years, we became a key player in the market place by opening up 4 stores. Unfortunately, we had to close our business when banks decided that they no longer wanted to be in the loan business.
My son and I decided to purchase three shoe repair and alteration shops which was a franchise. That business also did not work to my benefit.
Several years ago I was at the point in my life when it became necessary to decide what I wanted to do with my life from a career standpoint. Realizing how much I enjoyed working with people on a one-to-one basis and after talking to a neighbor who just happened to be a real estate broker who convinced me that I would be an excellent real estate agent. She felt that my ability to instill confidence in my relationship with others was a perfect attribute for an agent.
I have found deep satisfaction in being able to provide a very high level of service to my clients. Another key part is that it has allowed me to spend more time with my family which includes my supportive wife, my three sons, and my beautiful young granddaughter. Also, I now have the ability to adjust my schedule to be able to work out at the YMCA five days a week.
Finally, I want to make certain that you understand my responsibility to my client . It is simply stated in my pledge to you: My promise is:To respond to your inquiries within 24 hours. To aid in focusing your issues so that the information provided to you meets your specific needs. To provide you with the information in a manner that is not biased with my personal viewpoint but in a manner that allows for intelligent, decision-making.To always be honest and straight forward in my dealings so that there is never a question about factual information being presented. To be punctual and thorough in all transactions. To respect and treat you as though you are my only client.Enough about me.When you are buying or selling property in today's real estate market, it's important to have confidence in your real estate professional. What people are saying about Ron...
Thanks to my clients who have made selling St. Louis Real Estate a very rewarding and fulfilling profession.
I just wanted to send you a letter thanking you for your work as my realtor.
I was so impressed with your time commitment, work ethic, and knowledge of the area, especially Lafayette Square and its surroundings.
But even more than that, I appreciate your ethics.
I never felt like you wanted me to get into a house just to make money. I really thought you were looking for the right place for me, at the right price. Heck, you even turned down places that were more expensive but poorly crafted or strangely laid-out.
And, even more, I thank you for your friendship. I was so new to St. Louis, and you served as a guide.
Thank you,David Hunn
Dear Ron,Mary Lou and I would like to again thank you for your efforts with our recent home purchase. As you know, we had been working with another agent but did not feel we were getting the service we needed. You were always available, always returned calls promptly and always followed up on issues that we needed to be dealt with in a timely manner. Your ability to notify us of properties coming to the market before they actually hit the market made it possible for us to make travel arrangements to get into St. Louis to view the properties early and ultimately find the home of our dreams. We really appreciated the continued support after the sale which made our move much smoother. Again, many thanks.Sincerely,Rick PonderI wanted to pass on a word of thanks for the tremendous efforts Ron Gorman made on our behalf. As you know we recently closed on a house in University City, which we most likely would not have found without Ron´s guidance. We started with Ron early in the year while we began to explore a wide variety of neighborhoods in the city and nearby communities. Throughout this process Ron was always patient and knowledgeable in guiding us to appropriate neighborhoods to consider. His intimate knowledge of city neighborhoods as well as University City was invaluable to us. Ron was also a very quick study and learned what the key features in a house were for us and used that to select houses for us to consider. This allowed us to quickly focus in on the specific neighborhoods and houses that would maximize our search criteria. The best thing Ron did was never pressure us into a house or neighborhood. We always felt that he held our interests first. Once the sale was concluded Ron stayed involved by assisting us with obtaining services for the new house and following up with the previous owner when we had questions about the house. Ron has been our most effective agent that we have had in all of our home purchases. When we choose to sell this house in the future, Ron will be the first to know. Best regards, Wm. Patrick Vollendorf Ron has been very patient! He has shown us many homes that meet the criteria we had established. While we have not found "the one" yet, Ron has continued his good humored search for us. Ron's client orientedapproach has fit our style and made house hunting very comfortable. Laura
