I represent tax payers in the greater Saint Louis area and the state of Missouri who have issues with unfiled tax returns and outstanding tax liabilites. Much has been made of the new adminstrations plans to implement changes for a number of projects. Plans to raise taxes for corporations and high earners to generate revenue for all this programs is in play. Recenty it was discovered that these high earners were paying only 39% of the taxes they owed the IRS. Also the Treasury inspector General for Tax Administration, an IRS watch dog indicated that the unpaid back taxes were not being collected.  This extra revenue that is projected to come in to pay for the $!.5 trillion American Families Plan plus the $2 trillion infrastructure program has to come from somewhere. For the first time i...

William Robert Laughlin was born in San Gabriel, California back in 1932 to Robert and Charlotte.  At the tender age of eight he worked in the film industry.  He was made famous by his strange guttural voice (more on that in a moment). He died in 1948, he was sixteen from a motorcycle accident.  He was the youngest of the actors/actresses to die from the Our Gang films.  For those of you old enough to remember those films if you haven’t figured it out by now he was known as Froggy.  Your day is worthwhile when you make someone smile, so give the free gift of a smile today.

I represent tax payers in the greater Saint Louis area and the state of Missouri who have issues with unfiled tax returns and outstanding tax liabilites. For baseball fans across the country opening day is around the corner and spring is in the air. We are also in the middle of tax filing season and as I keep getting inquiries from people looking for stimulus checks I have to remind them that not filing tax returns could be a good reason why they haven't recieved one. When I think of taxes and baseball which might seem strange I can't help but not to connect Pete Rose with the two. Most people know Pete had a major gambling problem and sadly one of the all time greats is not in the hall fo fame because of it. The IRS could not have cared less about the gambling but they did care about ab...

Oh what a year it was!  Far too many deaths due to the pandemic.  After reviewing where most of my new business originated last year--I realized it was due to COVID 19.To be clear, I would have much preferred  that the world lived through 2020 without the virus.  When our city shut down in mid March, I thought my business would shut down too.  The week before I had sold two homes to out of towners moving to Kansas City for jobs. I feared the deals would fall through.   When transportation between states was shaky, one of my pending contracts threatened to cancel, citing the risk of getting infected during the move.  Everything seemed to stop, while agents wondered if real estate would be classified as an "essential business". Three sellers decided to stay put instead of list their homes...
