The Hollywood School House is an icon in our little town. It is a significant landmark for the area located in the south end of Woodinville, which is aptly named the "Hollywood District". There are several wine tasting rooms housed here - as well as a tasty Bistro.   J Bookwalter Wines, Amavi and Alexandria Nicole Cellars - are a few of the wineries represented, all with prize winning wines. Hollywood School House is a popular wedding venue with a grand ballroom, crystal chandeliers, beautifully manicured grounds and unique antique items. You can see more by clicking here for their website:http://www.hollywoodschoolhouse.comFor more information about wine tasting in Woodinville, visit http://www.woodinvillewinecountry.com

Do you remember your first concert that you went to? I do, it was just two weeks ago. My wife (Dionne) and I bought tickets to the Gipsy Kings concert that was being held at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville.  Chateau Ste. Michelle celebrated their 25th anniversary of summer concerts and has now become one of the biggest concert gatherings in the Pacific Northwest. This was my very first concert and I got to experience it with my wife (Dionne). I had a picnic basket filled with tapas, bread, olives, prochiuto, smoked salmon, cheese, and two wine bottles to enjoy while watching the concert. As we went through security check they told me that I was not able to bring my camera and wine unless it's from Chateau Ste. Michelle. I bought Dionne a Riesling from Chateau Ste. Michelle, ...

Friday's Did You Know? Columbia Winery. Did you know that Woodinvilles Columbia winery is a transplant from Seattle? The winery was started in the Seattle neighborhood of Laurelhurst by a group of ten friends.  In 1976 the winery moved to Redmond where production reached 9,000 gallons.  From Redmond, the winery moved to Bellevue so they could expand facilities as they were cranking out 30,000 cases.  In 1998 Columbia winery moved to its current home in Woodinville and have an average annual production of 170,000 cases.  Columbia winery, its been all over Seattle's Eastside, and not just in our glasses!
