Once again Clearwater Beach has been named the #1 beach in the country by TripAdvisor - only two years after winning the title in 2016 for the first time. Siesta Beach, near Sarasota was named #2 and St Pete Beach ranked 7th. Clearwater Beach, with it's white sugar sand and wide open space is hard to beat - and the beach experience is made even more popular by having the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the spring training facilities for baseball and soccer, and Dunedin and Clearwater nightlife nearby.  Clearwater Beach was also named "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013 by USA Today readers. For as long as we have been living in the Tampa Bay area - and even before when we visited from Ohio in the cold winter months - we have always loved Clearwater Beach the most! The white sand, the Pier...

I Love My Keurig Machine After Keurig decided to change their machines it caused an uproar. Version 2 machines requires certain KCups to be used. Some customers revolted and stopped using Keurig machines. However I love my Keurig machine. If you tell some people that they are outraged that we dare use KCups. They say that KCups pollute the earth. Indigenous people have always known that they do by the way yet some people preach to us about preserving Mother Earth. My ancestors have been doing it for centuries before they came along to preach to me about conservation.Nonetheless I love my Keurig and my Keurig Reusable KCup Filter. It's very easy to use and you can use your favorite coffee. This is very economical and helps preserve Mother Earth.

This is one adorable little stingray that Ronnie caught and released today in the Clearwater intercoastal waterway off Clearwater Florida. You can see from the size of the shrimp just how small this little cutie is. While a cute little stingray, you still need to be careful. If you step on the barb under it's tail, it is an extremely painful trip to the emergency room. That is why bathers need to remember to do the stingray shuffle when entering the water. If a school of rays swims past you, just stand still and let them pass. They are looking for food in the water and do not bite.

Pirate Ship Off Clearwater Beach is sure to get everybody's attention and indeed there was one out there today, as you can see from the photo. This pirate ship is for the Clearwater Beach tourists who desire to take the cruise to see the intercoastal waterway from the deck of a pirate ship. Adult prices are $34 and there are discounts for seniors. Children aged 3 - 12 are $26 and I am always amazed at how full the priate ship is as it makes it's cruise through the waterways.

Clearwater Beach Florida will be hosting their 3rd Annual Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival which is from April 17 - 26 this year.  The ten day event, which is a Master Sand Sculpting Competition, will also include many free activities including a children's play area, entertainment and fireworks. Admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 6 - 17 and $7 for those over age 55. Those in the military, police, firefighters and teachers. Naturally, you need to have an id. This year the City of Clearwater will turn 100 years old, so there is a lot to celebrate this year. Naturally, there were people living in the area long before the city became incorporated but this is the official year to celebrate and the City of Clearwater along with Clearwater Beach intends on doing just that.

Easter vacation and Clearwater Beach is indeed a popular combination! When people think of what to do over the Easter weekend, the beach comes into mind and around here Clearwater Beach is THE place tourists love to go. Perhaps it is the crystal white sand, the miles of sparkling green water of the Gulf of Mexico, all of the water sports, great fishing or the wonderful restaurants that serve fresh seafood - or perhaps a combination thereof that make Clearwater Beach so popular.  If you are ready to leave the snow and cold weather in the Winter behind and relocate to the Sunshine State, give me a call. Do you hear the Clearwater Beach area calling you? We are here to assist with your relocation plans. If you are local and have a home or condo to sell, we would love to provide you with a ...

A real estate agent asked about our compensation and I was unable to answer it. However once in awhile I will post my thoughts about an issue that is important. This is one of them.   Why? Because the Feds view discussion of our compensation with each other as a possible anti-trust violation particularly in Section 1 of the Sherman Act. It's very important that we not discuss this although the Feds violate anti-trust laws on a daily basis. For example they interfere with the housing market which is a form of price fixing yet they do not investigate themselves. Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act also prohibits unfair methods of competition. Essentially, any violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act would also violate Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act.Yet once again ...

I had to share this photo of Frankie fishing on Clearwater Beach Florida last year. He came all the way from the UK for a flounder? Actually, he came for three weeks of rest and relaxation, which is exactly what he got on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico here in the Sunshine State. We did manage to get a little business done as well, of course. What better place to relax than Clearwater Beach?

Crystal clear waters, blue skies, waterfront dining, boating and fishing...this is Clearwater Beach. Its coastal living at its best! And with the harsh winter months approaching, thousands of northerners every year like to dabble in our cozy coastal climate. They even consider buying a vacation or seasonal property down here, and why not? It's gorgeous year-round and it provides the perfect escape from those insufferable winters up north. There are almost too many things to choose from - swimming, golfing, boating, para-sailing, jogging, shopping, or just lounging in the sun.   Whether you are here to stay or just visiting a few months out of the year, Clearwater Beach is a wonderful, active community to call home. Sunsets at Pier 60 is alive at night with street performers, a playgroun...

Clearwater Beach Florida condos for sale is indeed a lively market. There are currently, in October 2014, condos for sale on Clearwater Beach Florida. As the fall turns into winter, that number will be reduced significantly by snowbirds tired of the harsh winter month up north. Of the 90 condos currently on the market we find a selection in every price range from a low of $165,800 for an efficiency condo with 507 sq ft of living space up to a 5,140 sq ft condo up on the 16th floor of a newer condo complex with breathtaking views of the white sugar sand below. This beauty has 4 bedrooms and three baths. It can be yours for $3,495,000. During the last six months, there have been 29 condo sales on Clearwater Beach Florida with an median time on the market of only 42 days and an average sol...

Clearwater Beach Florida homes for sale inventory for October 2014 shows only 24 single family homes on the market. Naturally, that is specifically for Clearwater Beach and does not include the city of Clearwater. That list of 24 homes begins on the more modest end at $349,900 for a three bedroom 3 bath home built in the 1920's and climbs to 2.5 million dollars for a 4 bedroom 3 bath pool home located on the intercoastal waterway that was built in the 1940's. Personally, I love these older homes, with the character of a bygone era.  As there are more and more condo buildings along the beaches, the single family homes on the northern end of Clearwater Beach increase in value and prestige. They are indeed a unique part of Clearwater Beach's history. During the last 6 months there have bee...
