In 1905, The Harris’ Company opened its first store in downtown San Bernardino, CA.  Surprisingly, during my research of this article, I found that the Harris Brothers opened their second store in 1908 on State Street in Redlands which later burned down in 1925. The Harris brothers rebuilt this store in 1926. Harris was an important part of Redlands history.  Harris took a chance in 1957 and went with a new concept by opening a large store in Riverside, CA at the Riverside Plaza out of the downtown section. “GIDGET” Meet Gidget, a wired hair terrier who was abandoned at one of my REO properties. She weighed about 4 lbs and that was after I had had her a week and then took her to the vet for her shots. I thought she was about 2 months old but found out later she was 4 months old. The vet told me that Gidget was very lucky to have found you (me) as she would not have lived much longer; she was starving to death. He could tell from her breath and it took about 2 months before her breath got better? She has truly been a gift to our family. She is now 1 ½ years old and gets along fine with the other two dogs we have. She has the sweetest disposition of any dog I have even owned. Making Space in Your Closet; yes, it is Possible!       I have a walk-In closet and it always jam packed with clothes, shoes and purses. I try to keep it organized and have double shelves, built-ins for shoes and baskets but still until recently I could hardly move the hangers around to look for something plus the items would come back from the cleaners and I would wrinkle them trying to find space to hang them. (Messy and packed full of clothes)         Then, a couple of weeks ago, my friend Loretta and I met for our monthly shopping trip and she was telling me how she had converted her closet to new thin, suede-like hangers.
