The high speed train is under attack from the powers in Sacramento after approving the route through the Antelope Valley they are rethinking things now.  The high speed train very well run along interstate 5 and misses us altogether.  The Antelope Valley in still the only growth area in Los Angeles County and bypassing this area is short sided period. In Palmdale, Q1 building permits pulled came in at 40, versus 41 in Q1 of 2010.  Lancaster had 45 permits pulled in Q1, but that was way down from the 108 in Q1 of 2010.  In the unincorporated areas of the AV, just 1 permit was pulled vs. 85 last year in Q1.
