I am missing my wife and Fall in Alaska ... In Fall of 2015 Robert Vegas Bob Swetz had the privilege of being in Alaska driving around viewing the Fall colors and taking some photographs.My wife Lin and I drove up to Fairbanks which is around a 7 hour drive north of Anchorage. I was in Fairbanks, Alaska last Wednesday evening and Thursday (December 4th and 5th, 2013) with my coworkers Terry Bryan and Deb Moore to teach clock hour classes at the Greater Fairbanks Board of Realtors. Since there’s a lot of travel involved no matter where you go in Alaska we do a full day of classes, usually starting at 8:30 am and teach back to back sessions until late afternoon, stopping around 5:00 pm, depending on flight times back to Anchorage. We got to Fairbanks a little after 5:00 pm on Wednesday.   An arch made from antlers?   I had an opportunity to get outside for a little bit this afternoon and decided to go for a walk down to Chena River and walk along the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk runs along the Chena River which curves through the city of Fairbanks, Alaska. As I approached the river, I can across a unique arch made of antlers. Over 100 antlers were donated and mounted to create this striking feature. The antlers came from throughout the state. Although some were hoping we would see a kindler, gentler Old Man Winter this year, it seems the old boy has other plans.  According to a weather genius friend, and confirmed by NOAA, we're going to see record cold temperatures sweep across the Tanana Valley. Bring it old man. I could probably live without seeing the mercury slide down to negative 40 and colder.  Doing anything outside at those temperatures is just not fun, and can be life threatening if you're not prepared for it.
