Not really ahead of their time.

I explored EXP and it was not for me.

EXP is still using a virtual office and it's working just fine in my book. We can visit the "World" and take about 30 or 40 classes a week if we want to. All free. We meet with our team twice a week virtually. And of course we also do  meet ups in person. We can hop into the world and stop by the health insurance, title company, technical support, and more and ask questions whenever we want. And none of that stops us from getting together in real life. So, I think it works great.

When I first joined eXp, there was a learning curve, but it has turned out to be the best move that I have ever made in real estate.  The virtual world makes it easy for me to visit anyone I need to visit within minutes and without driving to an office.  Training is also easily available.  Yes, in my opinion, they were ahead of their time by lowering their cost of doing business and passing much of the savings along to their agents.  I have been here for just over 2 years.  I am a moderate producer and I get a good commission, my wealth has increased with their stock programs and I regularly receive revenue share checks.  I enjoyed my four other real estate offices, but for me, eXp is the best.  Their goal is 500,000 agents in 5 years in 50 countries.  I think they will make it.  I will not sell a share of my stock for at least those 5 years and I will contunue to add to my positions through our programs.

That's funny, we were "virtual" back in the 90s.  :-)

With the number of business models out there today, yiu should be able to find one that works for you, including a sole proprietorship althought technology is making that harder!

No, I prefer the zoom meeting to the exp world type of training and meetings.

No experience with eXp, other than an agent trying to recruit me at Popeyes in Washington State while waiting to order food a few months ago! LOL

Our real estate team and KW broker is working very well. I know that eXP has expanded rapidly by providing inducements that made it worth while for many brokers to change. There will never be a lack of competition in the real estate brokerage space.

in rural America people still "walk in" my brick and mortor and buy a house.  I "can" work from any space, but I prefer my actual office.  And my clients like it too.

Give me a break, ahead of their time. Who hasn't said that.

You forgot the phrase, market disruptor.

The only company that I feel was ahead of the game and made paradigm switch was RE/MAX when created the commission split and put emphasis on women Realtors.

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

I am NOT good at recruiting and that seems to be a big part of eXp. I spoke with our own Brad Andersohn on multiple occasions as agents in our area were HEAVILY recruiting, as well as one who used to be here in the Rain who would NOT leave me alone. I had known Brad longer and had an allegiance to him and with 50 agents locally (and the former Rain member), beating on my door to join 'them,' I simply had to say no.

I have friends in other cities who had vastly different experiences with the 'recruiters' and positively love the virtuality of eXp. I couldn't be happier for them - it's a great company.

I have an unbelievable split with my company so, unless something changes there, it doesn't make a lick of sense to upset my apple cart!
