The more you know, the more you realize what you don't know. Good old Est/Landmark taught me that.
But personally, I'm more worries about the Freddy-Kruger effect...

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a type of cognitive bias in which people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Essentially, low ability people do not possess the skills needed to recognize their own incompetence. The combination of poor self-awareness and low cognitive ability leads them to overestimate their own capabilities.
Sounds like big T.

Of the of most significant barriers to learning - having the viewpoint that one already knows all about it. That said, the article has too much judgement and labelling for my liking. If one of my family members that's typically quiet and doesn't say a word started spouting off about something with some viewpoint that in my opinion was narrow and uninformed - I would still be happy that they are communicating and willing to state their opinion - even if borrowed from the media of whatever their professor says. And I don't know that a study of what 65 people think about jokes is enough to make a judgement about the general behavior of mankind.

Hummm, how can the person who proclaims mankind evolved from slime also proclaim "The Decent of Man"? Is this a book about politics Peter Mohylsky, Beach Expert . (As a Christian man who believes man was created by God, in God's image, I have no interest in Darwin's foolishness.)

There are many who are rectitudinous and impose upon others their transgression.
This is a typical attribute of those whose god is academia.
As for me I find those unaware of the things they can not do accomplish more that they dreamed possible.
