I do sell 50+ each year but, as long as I'm #1 in my clients' eyes, I'm happy without any other accolades!

Do you use MLS math, and count "both sides" as 2 transactions? Or do you mean individual properties?

Net income is more important than the number of transactions.

Yes, my clients do, and yes they are in the top !% without needing to close 50 transactions. I am proud of all of them. A

No, I'm a sole practioner and like it that way... 50+ deals are very difficult for someone like me who does it all... and then there's the question of whether I really want to run that kind of business that can keep me providing very personal, hands-on service with so many deals.. I'm happy where I am.

Once I left a franchise those numbers are plaques ceased to matter.

I suppose that depends on how you value yourself transactions, sales, commission, net before or after taxes...Time, ROI.
I know two agents personally that are Drowning their transactions and volume are fantastic.. but their nets are awful and they have no time for a life..
So how do you spell SUCCESS?

I work by myself with no assistant or agents, and 50 would be too much.

Well, according to the companies that keep trying to get me pay $300/yr to join their "Top Agents" networks, I'm already in the top 1% nationwide without having to do 50 sides.

I am the go agent for my clients. They are all #1 in my eyes and I am #1 in their eyes. That is all that matters to me.

This year I can proudly say "yes" to that question BUT more importantly, I did it while keeping my connection to my clients (vs handing it all off to someone else to do once the contract was signed) AND maintained a happy balance between work and play. I'm honestly not sure how it all got done. lol

Guess I am not number 1. But I am 1 person doing deals that make people happy and I am satisfied with my numbers.

The "top" is subject to interpretation. Number of transactions is definitely a measurement. So is sales volume. Money in your pocket. Customer satisfaction. So many factors in my opinion.

Lets see. Avg dough is 30+K times 50 transactions beats most CEO salary. That leaves out other 149,999 agents in SFBA or 60,000 realtors in the county.
