The rules for guest blogging has changed. In order to correctly do guest blogging post Panda and Penguin you need to first write a very good original article. Then the owner of the blog allows you to post that original content on their blog and introduce you as a guest blogger. You do NOT get a backlink back to your site.
We no longer use guest blogging for SEO purposes but rather for driving traffic to our own blogs. So it does not work unless the person you are giving a guest article to has really great traffic and raving fans visiting their site.
It is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site. But remember, getting a link back might just get you a Google penalty, so don't go there.
In perspective though, it is not really beneficial for real estate agents since there really are no real estate agents who have super duper viral websites that get a ton of traffic.
In real estate, that is also difficult becuase let's say that I do find out that
@Pamela Seley has a website with a ton of great traffic. She is a REALTOR® in Murrieta CA which is on the opposite coast of me in South Florida. So her traffic would not even benefit me. Katerina

Inbound Real Estate Marketing Yes, I occasionally allow guest articles on my WP site. The articles must be pre-approved, written for a national real estate audience, at least 1K words in length, quality content (as determined by me), unique/original, pass copyscape, and the author agrees to release all rights to the content once it goes live on my site. I provide all the photos and reserve the right to add, change, or delete any of the blog content provided. I allow 2 links (non-promotional as determined by me) that are both do-follow.

Never heard of that, but doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Waiting to read other responses.

Inbound Real Estate Marketing usually, folks use the blogging feature to market their services, and then come to QA to answer or post questions on topics that other experts can address, or that you as an expert in your field can address. I hope that makes sense.
