Get to Know Linda Jarvis

I was born and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida and remained there until marrying my husband, Byron.  Since that time I have lived in Georgia, Missouri, Louisiana and Maryland due to his being in the ministry.  We have lived in the Jacksonville area for a total of fourteen years and proudly call it home.I have worked in the legal profession for thirty years as a legal assistant and paralegal specializing in the area of real estate.  I worked with clients who were buying, selling or simply refinancing their homes and because of that I feel I have a unique perspective of the transaction from many other real estate associates. Byron and I, like many others these last few years, have had to re-examine our career paths and felt that being real estate sales associates would meet the needs of our family while continuing to allow us to work with individuals in achieving their goals.  We both have a genuine love and concern for others. We have three grown children who all reside in the area, as well as 7 grandchildren.  I love going to garage sales and thrift stores looking for vintage items.  One of the things I especially look for is unique furniture which can be distressed or refinished.  I also enjoy designing and making jewelry.Other things that I enjoy doing are working out, walking our dog, bicycling, reading, volunteering in outreach ministries in the community and attending church regularly. When purchasing, whether you are a first time homebuyer, relocating, moving up to your next home, or a seasoned investor, we will help you find the perfect home.  We will handle every detail of your transaction. When selling, we will provide you with a current market analysis which will enable you to establish a price range to bring top dollar in current market conditions.  We will help you visualize your home as potential homebuyers will view your home. Your Home Is Where Our Heart is!

When I work with first time homebuyers, I treat them like I would treat one of my children.  Most of them are a little apprehensive about the process and have lots of questions.  My job is to put them at ease, provide them with information to calm the nerves and walk with them through each step of the way.  It's very satisfying to find a home that meets their needs and stays within their budget.

When you have to sell your home in this current market, you will either have sufficient equity to be "seller owned" or have insufficient equity which would result in a "short sale".   However, just because you are upside down does not mean you can automatically short sale your home.  You have to experience a qualifying event in your life for a lender to agree to a short sale.  Because of the complexity involved in short sales, a buyer or seller needs to have an experienced agent looking out for their behalf.

Many customers are simply relocating because of jobs, family or other personal reasons.  With Byron and I working as a team, one of us will almost always be available to show you property.  Many times there are short time constraints in looking for a home and both of us understand those challenges.

Our focus is anywhere in the Duval and Clay County areas.  However, if you need to buy or sell out of the area, we can assist you in finding a real estate professional with the same moral values and work ethic that we have.  Because Watson Realty Corp. is an affiliate of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, we are part of a network that dominates in more markets across the US, with #1 market raning in 40% of the top 96 markets.  There are over 550 firms in 4600 offices that make up Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.  Whether you are buying or selling, exposure is a necessity.

My husband, Byron, and I are both agents with Watson Realty Corp. Our customers have the added benefit of two people working for them, whether it is buying or selling.
