Get to Know Kari McCune

Long-time Manhattan resident Kari McCune has over 15 years' experience as a REALTOR® in Manhattan, Kansas. McCune has held various real estate positions over the years, but despite the different positions and titles, there is one thing that has been constant: McCune is the consummate professional, dedicated and committed to her clients and has proven she has unsurpassed knowledge of the real estate market.

McCune has always been innovative and had vision to bring new real estate practices     and concepts to the market. The bottom line for McCune is that she strives to think ahead of the market while providing her clients exceptional real estate service. McCune has outdone herself again by creating a new and unique business model that adapts to the dramatic and rapid changes in the current real estate market. In February 2009, McCune established Real Estate My Way, with the tag line,  Real Solutions Tailored to Meet Your Needs. The boutique real estate consulting firm provides more customized and individualized solutions for her clients, while still offering full real estate services. As a consultant for Real Estate My Way, www.realestatemyway.com, McCune is able to develop transparent market strategies for all her clients.

McCune became licensed as a sales agent in 1994 and received her Kansas Real Estate Broker's license in 2002. In 1998 McCune received her Accredited Buyer Representative Designation, signifying her advanced training for helping buyers. In 2007, she became accredited as a Staging Professional.

From 2003 to 2009, McCune owned and operated a Help-U-Sell franchise, a full-service   set-fee organization that provided an alternative to the traditional business model and commission structure. Help-U-Sell of Manhattan unbundled the services that a traditional broker might provide, which allowed the consumer to save a significant amount of money. During the 6 years of McCune's ownership of Help-U-Sell of Manhattan, she saved her seller clients approximately $2 million dollars in the cost of their sales. At the same time, McCune personally averaged over $10.5 million dollars in transaction volume yearly. The Help-U-Sell business model that McCune introduced in Manhattan is just another example of her determination to offer yet another unique real estate approach to her clients.

During 2007-2008, she opened Front Porch Properties, LLC, a development company providing affordable and quality housing for military families from Fort Riley. She has served on various committees for the Manhattan Association of Realtors such as the Grievance Committee, past chairperson of the Education Committee and Community Affairs Committee, and is the current chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Kansas Association of Realtors, and Manhattan Association of Realtors. McCune is married to Brad McCune, vice president and commercial loan manager of Peoples Exchange Bank. McCune has one son, Thomas Malinowsky, who is currently attending the University of Virginia. The McCune's are members of the First Baptist Church.
