In the Cedar City Real Estate Market, Mesa Hills is one of if not the first upscale subdivision in Cedar City.  It was built in several phases from the early 1990′s.  There are currently no homes for sale in Mesa Hills.  This was a large development that is mostly built out.  There are some really nice homes in the subdivision. The Cedar Valley Community Theatre is presenting “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” beginning tonight and running through June 4th.  This is a fun  Broadway styled production that will take place at the Heritage Center Theater.  Curtain is at 7:30 PM, the box office will open at 5:30 each day of the production.  There is no play on Sunday June 3rd. Tickets are general admission the prices are $5 for children 5 to 17, and $8 for adults.  In addition to the box office at the Heritage Center Theater, you can purchase tickets at Braun’s Books or by going to www.cedartheatre.org.  This should prove to be a fun event for the entire family!   I have mentioned in other posts that the 1970’s brought quite a bit of building into the Cedar City Real Estate Market.  The Stanworth subdivision is another of those late 1960’s to early 1970’s subdivisions.  It was built in a time when most of the homes being built were built as brick homes. Cedarwood Terrace is another of subdivisions that were built in the Cedar City Real Estate Market in the 1960’s and 70’s.  It is located near Cedar High School just off of 300 West.  Most of the homes are brick or have a lot of brick in them.  I have heard the style described as the Atomic Ranch House.  It is a neighborhood that is centrally located in Cedar City. The Cedar City Real Estate Market has some great smaller subdivisions.  Cove Ridge is one of those, it doesn’t have a lot homes, but the homes that are there are really nice ones.  Cove Ridge is staying in the same general area of town as the two Black Rock Subdivisions.  Cove Ridge is comprised of what I would call move up style homes. Cove Ridge is a subdivision that is still relatively new, and is a nice area with some great mountain views. There is light at the end of the tunnel!  Last October a massive landslide destroyed a section of SR14 in Cedar Canyon.  This is a major road, providing access to Duck Creek, Mammoth Creek and Cedar Breaks National Monument as well as to Kanab and even Lake Powell.  It has been closed since the landslide.  Several weeks ago construction began to repair the road and provide access.  The target was to get the road open by mid to late summer.  On Thursday, May 23rd at 3 PM a dirt road will open up and provide access to those destinations.  This will be a dirt road, and drivers should expect it to be 2 lanes, one going in each direction.  Here is the link: http://www.livingincedarcity.com/?p=5089 Cedar Breaks National Monument

In the Cedar City Real Estate Market we have a few townhome subdivisions. Eagle Point is another tremendous asset in the Cedar City Real Estate Market, this great condo complex is located at the North End of Cedar City.  It consists of two story and single story units.  The two story units were built in the mid 1990′s and are typically around 1600 square feet.  They boast fairly large bedrooms and a single car garage.
