Last week Travelers Rest lost a 19 year old to a traffic accident. Chelsea Hawkins graduated from Travelers Rest High in 08 and had just started college on scholarship for softball.  Last Sunday morning at 4 am she lost control of her car flip over and was thrown from her car, then was struck by a hit and run driver.  The police dept is looking for a white Jeep that hit her and left.  The family and kids in the area have done all they can to get attention to the traffic scene>  There is a big billboard asking for information about the hit and run driver. Student's painted messages on the road where she was killed and fresh flowers are always left.  This child died with such a wonderful future, please keep her family and friends  in your prayers.  I hope whoever hit Chelsea will have eno... 09/01/2008

I knew there was an area right around the corner that was protected but I had no idea that the house I was showing potential clients was right across the street from 178 acres of protected forestland. I have heard so many time that the Travelers Rest Furman area is to far from Greenville.  So i drive this almost 4 times a day.  here are the facts.  It takes about 8 minutes to get to downtown Greenvilee from Travelers Rest.  Highway 25 has 4 lanes and very seldom is there a traffic jam, except for Furman ball games or graduations.  THis is a lovely area with many things to offer.  Realtors tend to want to stay in the Simpsonville, east side are, but you really don't know what  you are missing.  Travelers Rest is growing,and there are many very nice neighborhoods.  Shopping is not problem here . but you can drive to Haywood Road and Woodruff roads in about 9 minutes.  Travelers Rest is a true Hidden Treasure with many things to offer take the time to check it out, you will be glad you ... 07/14/2008

Travelers Rest is growing.  The most poplar areas with excellent neighborhood HOA's are The Woods OF North Cliff, Watson Crossing and North Cliff.  The home are in the 180's up.
