You may love smoking or hate smoking but regardless of where you stand, Simpsonville has now joined the other municipalities in implementing a smoking ban in workplaces. While the previous ordinance only covers restaurants, the new ordinance now expands to bars, private clubs, and other workplaces that are open to public. When this ordinance was proposed some months ago, the city was divided over whether it is a public health issue or an attack to people’s rights.  Some say it’s unfair while others say it’s just right to protect the health of general public.
