Have you ever had an experience with a know-it-all home inspector who doesn't know nearly as much as he believes? Of course you have. We all have. As in any walk of life, or any profession, there are those who think they know everything. Buyers and sellers need to understand, however, that home inspectors are not infallible, even if they sound like they do. Twice now, in the past few months, I have seen home inspectors toss out wildly inaccurate information in regards to repairs to a couple of homes in Beaufort, SC. For the sake of disclosure, neither of these situations necessarily dealt with deals I was party to. One of these inspectors managed to kill a deal, the other merely tried.   There are rare, precious moments throughout my week that are void of catastrophe, humiliation, and strategically placed stressed. When those moments occur I find myself somewhat lost, drifting aimlessly in unfamiliar peace. Although they do occur frequently, sometimes even weekly, it is always a surprise. Hold on to your lock boxes, this is one for the strong at heart! It was taught to me quite early on, that the best rarely have to announce that they are, in fact, the best.
