Explaining to buyers moving to  the Chadds Ford area, renowned for its superior school system,  that it is more a state of mind than a  geographic location  is a challenge that I cherish. Chadds Ford is a small historic crossroads memorialized by popular Hank's Diner, which if you are lucky you will enjoy some of the best moussaka ever,  and it also is a township in Delaware Count 40 minutes outside Philadelphia.  But, Chester County, right next door, also shares in thebounty of art, history and natural beauty.  Perhaps it's better offer a regional definition extending into northern Delaware - the BRANDYWINE VALLEY.
