Remember that song by Johnny Cash, I've Been Everywhere?  That's a good way to describe my life as an Oklahoma REALTOR the past week!  I have burned up I-40 to show homes.  I've been to Moore, McLoud, Harrah, and Choctaw see what I mean!By far most of my time has been in Choctaw.  Choctaw, Oklahoma is just a short trip east of Tinker Air Force Base.  Choctaw has a population of just under 10,000.  They have four elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.Currently there are 130 homes available for sale in Choctaw.  Of those about thirty are new construction and a little more than half are on at least one acre of land.  The average list price today is $215,000.  In the last six months 104 homes have sold in Choctaw after an average of just 88 days on the market.  Those ... 02/20/2011

I have tried several times to post a blog and each time it hasn't done what I asked it to.  Alas, here I am again!  I refuse to be beaten by a computer web site.  I will learn how to do this if it kills me, and it very well may!!  Seriously,  I am exited to think there is a place I can go to get insiteful information and feed back from other members of my profession.  I am also exited to think those members can offer insite into what is happening in other regions as far as the real estate market.  I have learned here in Oklahoma that the National News can be very broad and not address local concerns of every market.  We have been very fortunate to be insulated from the hard times the coasts have experienced and my heart goes out to everyone trying to make a living in those areas.  I hav... 09/16/2008
