The Waterfall on the Ro-Jansen Kill in Elizaville NY seen after a snowstorm. It is never boring listening to the sound of running water. So where is Elizaville? It is located in the Town of Gallatin in southeastern Columbia County. The waterfall on the Ro-Jansen Kill is near the intersection of County Route 19 and E. I think it is the heat, I am attracted by every body of water. As a real estate broker I am up and about and I get to see these little nature treats.A couple days ago I was in Elizaville showing homes and I was drawn to the Twin Lakes; it was 9:00am and the scene was so inviting. Twin Lakes as the name implies consist of two lakes, and they are across the road from each other.Around the lakes you will find many small cottages, lakefront properties  are popular as second homes. The other day I was having breakfast with my husband in a diner when I suddenly had the impulse to pop a quarter into the juke box and let the music play.  Mark you, I have never used one of these machines before. My husband immediately sensed that one of my impulsive moments was about to become reality, and emphatically said no to this. I did not give up. Immediately,  I asked wouldn't you like some Ray Coniff music with breakfast?  Of course, the answer was no,  and he added that the other customers wouldn't want it either. Really, I can't be the only one who has had such an impulse right?                                                Twin Lakes Nothing says summer like water.  Wednesday is a typical open house day in my market, however I did not think I would get the opportunity to see any houses today. There was a slight adjustment in my schedule and since I was coming from the north I was able to catch a few open houses around Twin Lakes in Elizaville NY which is in southern Columbia County. One of the house for sale was right down near the water a perfect spot to spend summer days.
