The Westwood Mass. Fire Department will host a open house on Saturday October 17, 2009. The open house will run from 11:00am-2:00pm at the fire station located at 637 High Street. The open house will feature fire trucks and rescue equipment on display, live fire and rescue demostrations, hands on activities for kids, fire safety and health information, and free refreshments for all.

The Westwood Mass. board of health is pleased to announce that the Annual Flu Clinic for seasonal flu will be held on Saturday September 26th at the Westwood High School gymnasium from 9:00am through 12 noon. Seasonal flu vaccines will be administered to Westwood Residents in the following high risk groups:    50 years of age and older, 18-49 years of age with an underlying medical condition, health care workers, pregnant women and caretakers of children less than six months old. Please note that the Board of Health will not be administering the H1N1 vaccine at this clinic.
