The territory which is now the Village of Bartlett was, at various times in the past, a part of Spain, France, Virginia, England, the Northwest Territory, Indiana, the Illinois Territory, and, finally, the State of Illinois. The area was at one time a camping and hunting ground of the Pottawatomie, Ottowa, Miami, and Cherokee Indians. The original forty acre town site was owned by Mr. Luther Bartlett, a native of Conway, Massachusetts, He came to Illinois by way of Michigan in 1844. Wow I am amazed at the work my wife and I had done.  We had to get some electric work done in our home.  I am not a fan of doing this my self, but will do some.  We needed the exaust fan in the Bathroom fixed and we had an electric outlet and a fan put in our loft area of our home.I did not want to do this by myself so we called someone out.We had AAA Electric of Carol Stream, Inc. do the work.  David Vatta came out and gave us a quote and was very good at what he does.He gave a quote on Wed. during the day and we had him out on Sat. morning.  Now when he came in he was on time and was very clean.  He wore booties so not to get the house dirty.  Important since we cleaned on Friday.He did the job and did it well.  The fan looks great and it works.  I know many contractors do not do what... 09/17/2007

My daughter, Marissa will be a freshman this year at Bartlett High School.  What an exciting time.  Remember those days, the butterflies in your stomach, wondering how you will ever find your classroom.  Feeling like you have finally made it to the BIG time?  Well she has all of those feelings, but has a big brother that will be a Senior this year to help her out.  She is confident he will protect her and help her adjust to her new school.Before the end of her final days at her now "childish" middle school, she tried out for the Bartlett Hawks cheer squad.  She has been a cheerleader since she was 5 years old, and has loved being a cheerleader.  The try outs were over 3 days and were very stressful for all of us.  I knew she had it in her to do her best.  Obviously the coach thought so ... 07/30/2007
