We went out to Ko'olina today to take some pictures and to just enjoy a lazy afternoon after a giant lunch.  I was taking a picture of Flat Stanley (who came from Pennsylvania) and in my eyesight was......this beautiful bird. I stayed so still and just watched it slowly turn around and look at me. He stood still just watching me. I felt privileged to take his picture and how beautiful it turned out!   04/17/2011

I've been asked a few times about the shopping center that is currently being built in Ko Olina in front of Coconut Plantations. While I had the leasing information, I had never really explored what was going to be there and who the tenants were going to be. The best part of this "cyberworld" that we live in is the ability to have information shared and passed from one to the other. As the pages of the calendar fall to the floor, what seemed a distant event begins to appear closer. From the first time I heard the rumor, it was easy to believe and easy to imagine. Disney was going to build a hotel in Ko Olina. The Disney family is a pretty good family to have moving into our neighborhood!
