In Mountain View from Jan 1, 2012 until June 30, 2012 there were: 16 closed short sales 22 closed bank owned homes Total sales during this time period were 349 Total % Short Sales: 4.58% Total % REO Sales: 6 % Total Percentage  Mountain View Distressed Properties: 10.58% 10.58% of all Mountain View sales being distressed is not enough to have a major effect on the overall market. Google Provides Free WiFi in Mountain View   No-cost wireless Internet (WiFi) services are now available in most areas of the City of Mountain View as a benefit of a five-year agreement the City has entered into with Google, Inc., the Internet search engine company headquartered in Mountain View.   The City authorized Google to place wireless transmitters on City-owned streetlight poles throughout the City to create one of the first city-wide-no-cost WiFi networks in the country.   Google completed installation of the transmitters for the network and the network has been launched.   WiFi users who want a stronger signal inside their homes or offices will need to buy consumer premise equipment (CPE) available from local retailers or on the Internet for $50-$100.

I have lived in the Downtown area of Mountain View, CA for almost 5 years now. One of the things I have heard many times is that we need a grocery store on Castro Street.  Funny but there has been a grocery store on Castro Street for years but for many people the traditional Asian grocery store did not fulfill what they were looking for.  Downtown Mountain View has finally gotten their wish, what used to be the Castro Market is now Ava’s Downtown Market and Deli.  Ann and Juan are doing an amazing job of keeping some of the standards that the Asian market carried and adding a lineup of items that feels like a “Farmer’s Market” every day at Ava's Downtown Market and Deli.  They carry lots of fresh local produce and local meats.  Plus meats you don’t get other places like rabbit and goat,...
