        If I were looking for a real estate agent I would not want an individual with a criminal record. Having a criminal record says many things about an individual. They have done something immoral in the past. Its very hard to shake bad habits even if you're trying to better yourself.        In Utah if you have committed a felony in the past 5 years you are ineligible for a real estate license. If you have committed a misdemeanor in the past 3 years that had to do with fraud, misrepresentation, theft, or dishonesty you are disqualified as well. Even if it's been longer than these times you may still face difficulties in attaining a license. This one sticks out to me because I feel without this tool nobody could do their job correctly.  It could ruin your life and others that you work for along with your clients. You'd think this one thing would be fairly easy to remember, but I feel like the schooling needs to cover it just incase some people dont have this one simple tool.  You should be able to do this one thing fairly easy, by just doing your job in a decent manner without harming others or their property and by this I mean just using your brain a little lol.
