It didn't take long before my phone began ringing much more than ever before -- people asking for advice on hiring a realtor, a radio show asking for my opinion and yes - people who was my work on active rain and wanted to hire our services! One fun experience was when we had a model home on the home builder's tour of homes. The home builder association had not updated their website with tour information -- but I had posted a blog about the tour and our model on active rain and localism. We received calls asking where to receive maps, information about the tour and of course we were happy to direct all this business to our tour home and realtor! Active rain has worked for us!"

"Moving furniture was all we did to make the buyers go from saying "The rooms are too small" to "Look how large these rooms are." This home was large in square footage (6,000SF) however many of the rooms appeared small due to the furniture arrangement and the homeowner had removed most of the accessories to depersonalize the spaces. The furniture arrangements in most of the rooms impeded the traffic flow and the lack of accessories made the rooms look cold, unfinished and only accentuated the small feel of the rooms. Our first step was to move furniture between rooms and remove furniture from other rooms where the pieces didn't make sense. The painters were scheduled and our staging day set, when the homeowner decided to show the property even though the updates had not been completed.
The homeowner was surprised at the reaction from this potential buyer. After 2 years on the market and hearing the "rooms are too small" objection, these new buyers could not get over how large the spaces were. They made an acceptable offer and the contract was signed 2 days after we started the staging process.
This homeowner only wished they had not waited so long to professionally stage their property!"
