Selling your home is a significant decision for your Palm Springs home or any other location, and selecting the right realtor is crucial to ensuring your property gets the attention it deserves. In today's digital age, where the majority of home buyers find their homes online, the presentation of your listing can make or break the deal. Here’s why picking the right realtor is essential and what you should look for during the interview process.*Bad photos courtesy of The CloseFirst Impressions MatterStudies show that most home buyers start their search online. This means that the photos and media representing your home are the first things potential buyers see. It breaks my heart to see listings with only one photo saying "more photos coming soon." Guess what? Most buyers won’t come back...

If a Realtor has at least five years of experience in your local market, has visited your property, carefully examined its features, identified comparable properties, provided a thorough market analysis, and discussed the factors that affect your home's value, you can trust their estimate more than Zillow's. Zillow often gets it wrong, either overestimating or underestimating home values. The platform can't conduct in-person assessments or notice things like outdated bathrooms, worn-out kitchens, or a property’s proximity to a busy road. You simply can't compare the expertise of a seasoned real estate professional to Zillow's algorithm.

According to a recent survey, sellers who do it alone are twice as likely to be dissatisfied with the process and to believe that their prior belief that "agents are overpaid" was incorrect.          A recent Clever Real Estate poll of 1,000 home sellers found that those who choose not to engage a real estate agent are twice as likely to express dissatisfaction with the selling process.  Respondents to the survey acknowledge that selling their house without a professional agent probably resulted in a lower profit margin and increased stress.          Before their transaction, those who didn't work with a real estate agent expressed the opinion that experts are overcharged for their services and don't know any more about selling a house than the typical seller. However, after t...
