Possibly one may remember the TV series Mission Impossible.  The top agency agent portrayed by Peter Graves, would receive a self destructing tape message about the mission if the agent would decided to accept it.  The message would specifically state what had to be achieved (who, what, where, when and often why) for the mission to be successful.Today many Mission Statements are more like Vision Statements as they lack specificity. What I have always encouraged my clients including professional real estate agents to do is to look at their Mission Statement and then ask employees or themselves what did they do to achieve the current Mission.
