I don't have enough words to describe how much I enjoyed being on the Active Rain since 2009. I was just a spectator for almost first 10 years. The Pandemic woke me up and I began connecting aggressively on Active Rain. The first person I noticed who was on active rain was Margaret Rome, whom I met way back in the 90's. then I met so many great sharing people. The zoom calls that started in 2020 gave me chance to interact more directly by listening, watching and speaking to this great group. I can't even describe how much grateful for the knowledge and experience I have access to for just being in this elite group. Thank you, Thank you & Thank you each and everyone that is on Active Rain especially the ones on Tuesday Zoom calls!!! Sham Reddy CRSHoward Hanna Real Estate ServicesDayton, O...

Wordless Wednesday…Never Too Old Last Sunday Larry and I got to spend time with Mini-Me.  She is such a pleasure to be around. Mini-Me is thoughtful and sensitive but also does not mince words.  She was trying to teach me how to pronounce the name she calls her great-grandmother in Spanish. Since she is part Hispanic, she knows how to count in Spanish and has learned phrases from her aunt.  Even though I used to run a German language lab in college and thought I had a good ear for language, apparently I was a failure.  I’m still trying, though.   You are never too old to learn more than you already know and to become able to do more than you already can.  Isaac Asimov

Brainpower Bandwidth Blues. . .  Do we have enough brainpower? I wonder if there is sufficient bandwidth too.  If not, are the blues inevitable?   And is any of this connected?  I don’t have the answers to these questions. Or countless others. However, I think many factors may be involved.   Meanwhile, I ponder. . .  When technological challenges become apparent, I admittedly feel a bit lost. And that happened this past week.   Some background: my cell phone usage has continued to change since first obtaining one many years ago. Something went amiss recently. Device-wise.  I was frustrated.  But I knew the malfunction was solvable.  Not immediately but eventually.   The solution was simple. It might be laughable now if it weren’t so agonizing in that moment.  Lesson learned?  I’d like ...

El Arroyo is an iconic local spot in Austin. They make the best hand-squeezed margaritas and serve Black Angus beef tacos (along with many other Tex- Mex offerings) and have since 1975!A quirky marquee is out front on the corner of West 5th and Campbell. Every day they change their bill board with a new pun (everything imaginable). They encourage you to submit your pun on their website and of course have permission to post them. It’s one of those “Keep Austin Weird” things that we all in Austin love! They post them on Instagram because everyone loves them. Our own Myrl Jeffcoat follows them as well as Kathy Streib and Endre Barath, Jr.! We all need some laughter or a chuckle each day! It's fun checking out the new pun each day.                                 Hope you enjoy these! Happy ...
