Thank you Nina Hollander, Broker for sharing this information with us. Happy Thanksgiving.  WHAT'S THE FAVORITE THANKSGIVING DAY PIE IN YOUR STATE? DO YOU AGREE? Do you have a favorite pie for Thanksgiving dinner? Is it the same as the favorite pie in your state? Google shared a list with USA TODAY of uniquely searched pies in each state.   As you can see from the list below, pumpkin pie seems to be the overall favorite in 13 states. However, apple pie is not far behind with 11 states showing it as a favorite. Some interesting surprises in several states: chess pie in North Carolina and Tennessee; key lime pie in Utah; French silk pie in Illinois; lemon meringue in Colorado; chocolate mousse pie in New Mexico.   And with all the pecans grown in Texas, New Mexico and Georgia, why wouldn'...

Happy Thanksgiving - Hau'oli La Ho'omaika'i - 2022 Thankful for you - Mahalo iā ʻoe To understand the true meaning of the Hawaiian word for thanks, "Mahalo" it is important to understand the roots of the word and the powerful message imbedded within.  MA- in this case means “within”HA- refers to the “breath of life” or “Divine breath of life”ALO- means “in the presence of” The complete translation including the hidden meaning reads. “Thankful to be in the presence of the divine breath of life” It both recognizes the divine breath in ones self and the individual one is thankful for.  At HI Pro Realty we are thankful for our Ohana, friends and clients and wish you a relaxing day of feasting and filial peace, God bless!

Happy Thanksgiving!         Hope everyone enjoys a safe and peaceful day with friends and/or family.  Today I am grateful I can share an abundance of food on my table, have a roof over my head, enjoy a good real estate market, and be surrounded by friendship.      Luckily with the vaccine, families are able to gather this year a bit more safely.   Thankful I will have a warm meal on the table and don't have to travel far to enjoy this day! May your life be filled with good things to be thankful for as ours are filled with thankfulness for you. We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.      Frederick Keonig

I hope last weekend's Sand, Water, and RV Expo got you pumped for springtime fun. It's never too early to start planning your next outdoor adventure! But first, Thanksgiving. If you are entertaining out-of-town guests, take them to the Lake Havasu Festival of Lights. Now in its 27th year, the Festival of Lights is a time-honored tradition to ring in the start of the Christmas holiday here in the desert.Lake Havasu Festival of Lights 2022Beginning at dusk on Friday, November 25th, the Old English Village, the London Bridge Resort, the Bridgewater Channel, and even the London Bridge herself shine with twinkling lights. Other cities hold simple tree-lighting ceremonies. Someone steps up, flips a switch, and the lights go on. In Havasu, we do things differently. We hold a swimming competiti...

My local newspaper is running a promotion for a month.  They are giving me a free newspaper seven days a week, they didn’t ask just started throwing a newspaper on my driveway.  There is a reason I don’t subscribe I don’t read them.  Seeing this pile of newspapers reminded me of a presentation I did about 12 to 15 years ago.  It was part of a marketing class I was presenting and I had read an article about where to spend marketing dollars and saw a recent marketing test on newspapers and habits of the different generations.  Turns out Millennial and Generation X have very little if any interest in newspapers and that was the market they surveyed.   Unlike me they contacted folks and asked if they would allow a free newspaper for a week and answer a few questions.  I remember the complai...

As Thanksgiving approaches, our thoughts and memories can become flush with the remembrance of family, friends and food. Year after year, we seem to assemble the same group of family and friends, in a warm home filled with the familiar smell of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and other delicious aromas.  Somehow, we manage to make the love and warmth of the Thanksgiving scene the same. Sometimes the people change - elders pass, and new babies arrive - and sometimes the locations change, but we often re-create the same scene. You know you will catch a glimpse of someone’s fingers glistening with turkey grease. You know someone will twirl and unfurl the holiday tablecloth which only emerges once a year. Thanksgiving is like a genetic trait, handed down from generation to genera...

After sharing the things one is thankful for this Thanksgiving, here are some important and useful facts to share with one's small circle around the 2022 holiday table. 1. Thanksgiving is not only a favorite holiday for eating, it's also the #1 day of the year for kitchen fires.  (Christmas Day follows at #2, Christmas Eve at #3 and the day after Thanksgiving is #4.) For perspective, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports the number of kitchen fires triples during the Holiday season! 2. Thank God for the First Nations People the Wampanoag-'People of the First Light'The Wampanoag People have lived in southeastern New England for more than 12,000 years. Their name means "People of the First Light" and they continue to live in the areas of Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vin...
