When I happened to read an acronym for Courage with “A” being the word ACKNOWLEDGE, my thoughts started a whirlwind. How often do acknowledge what we do well?  Possibly we are restrained from this acknowledgement because we may think others may think we are boasting? Or maybe our focus is on what we don’t do well? How often do acknowledge the efforts of others? From thanking those who comment on this blog to those who support us in our daily real estate work efforts? Then what about handwritten notes to current clients, affiliates and past clients? Did you know that acknowledge is one of those words from the Middle English (late 15th century) and was originally the verb for knowledge. I didn’t know that this word was ever a verb.Being a fan of the very early philosophers and poets, Eurip...

And it only takes five minutes, according to a Harvard-trained psychologist!Burnout can sneak up on us without warning, according to a recent report. And the most common cause of burnout, of course, is our jobs. According to the World Health Organization, burnout is typically the result of "chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed."We’re told that while exhaustion, cynicism and reduced productivity are some of the most obvious signs of job burnout, there are other sneaky symptoms we might be missing, including procrastination, constant distraction and apathy, according to Wendy Suzuki, a neuroscientist at New York University. There's no foolproof solution for beating burnout, says Debbie Sorensen, a Harvard-trained clinical psychologist in Denver. But we can ward o...

Good morning and a happy April Fools Day.  Hope this email finds you doing well, safe and healthy and had a fantastic Easter weekend celebration.  Sharing Tim's Time outs again with you. REFLECTION FOR THE DAY: On numerous occasions, I've found that there's a strong connection between our fears, and our resentments.  If we secretly fear that we are inadequate, for example, we'll tend to resent deeply anybody whose actions or words expose our imagined inadequacy... But it's usually too painful to admit that our own fears and doubts about ourselves are the cause of our resentments.  It's a lot easier to pin the blame on someone else's "bad behavior", or "selfish motives" and use that as the justification for our RESENTMENT.  We need to realize that by resenting someone, or something, you ...

Yahoo Finance story: Here is the true value of having a fully paid-off home in America — especially when you're heading into retirementThis needs to be taught to kids in middle school and reiterated in high school and college. So many in America are stuck in financial slavery with no end in sight. It's quite sad, and often depressing when people wake up in their 50s and realize they may have to keep working forever. Retirement and early retirement is not rocket science, it takes math, planning, evaluating, and discipline. The earlier people understand this and begin making good choices the better. This has the power to change a family's financial trajectory. It has for me and my family. #blessed  By Lou Carlozo Sun, Mar 31, 2024, 6:33 AM EDT There’s great news for America’s homeowners: ...

With today, March 31, 2024 being a significant religious holiday for Christians around the world, I thought this book by Bobi Seredich entitled Courage Does Not Always Roar: Ordinary Women with Extraordinary Courage captures much of what happened thousands of years ago.The two women who came to the tomb and found it empty along with a stranger in a white robe had courage. Yes they were probably frightened given the circumstances and still they stayed and listened to the stranger. In this relatively short read, the author describes the attributes through various selections about courage. Even though the book focuses on women, I believe these attributes are applicable for anyone. The first chapter opens with a quote by Christopher Reeve.“I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds st...

Caring for your home can seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be! You can keep your home safe and in good condition by following easy steps. Here are some things you can do to help keep your home in great shape: - Check your roof every spring for any damage or missing shingles. If you find any problems, call a professional to fix them. Don't use a pressure washer on your roof, which can cause damage. Clean your gutters and downspouts, and confirm they're attached securely to your home. Fix any leaks to make sure the water drains away from your house. - Look for cracks in your driveway, walkways, and pool deck. Repair them as soon as possible to avoid more significant problems later. - Check your outside faucets to make sure they're not leaking and the is flowing correctly. - Keep your ...

...In Human History is here.In the Christian world, today is known as Ressurection Sunday. It is better known as Easter Sunday. The promise that Jesus made was kept. He would rise from the grave. By doing so we can be assured all other promises or prophecies will be kept. John 3:16-1916 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of GodAnother good section of Scripture to read is John Chapter 1I hope today is an enjoyable day for al...

Zillow is one of the most popular real estate websites, providing users with access to millions of property listings, home values, and other related information. However, many people have raised concerns about the accuracy of Zillow's data. Prompting many consumers to always ask an agent: "Is this property still available?". Below, we will explore the reasons behind Zillow's inaccuracy and why www.lakefrontliving.com is always 100% accurate. Why is Zillow not 100% accurate? Data lag: Zillow relies on public records and MLS data to compile its database of homes. However, this information is not always updated in real-time. This results in data lag. Causing some properties to be listed as available when they are not or vice versa. Lack of human verification: Zillow's data is mostly automa...
