Waukesha County, Wisconsin. A lot of beautiful History: The City of Waukesha (edit/delete) Years ago this City was resort City. People would come from miles around just to put their feet in the Fox river, have a mud bath at the Moor Downs mud baths, and the City was renowned for it's natural springs. It was deemed "Spring City" Resorts were plentiful. There is a large bible college that used to house a famous resort on the corner of Arcadian and Hartwell. One really would have a hard time imagining the beauty that was Frame park. A beautiful park on the Fox river that had outstanding floral gardens, trelleses, ponds with fish, and views that were nothing short of amazing. The city of Waukesha had numurous parks that had Spring houses in them. Perhaps this is what made the Fox Head brew...

Here is the market snapshot for Waukesha Wisconsin Real Estate for the month ending February 2008. Number of Active Listings: 379 Number of New Listings: 209 Closed Sales: 60 (down from 66 a year ago) Average Sales Price: $223,236 (DOWN from $228,718 in 2007) Average Days on Market: 100 (UP from 85 in 2007) What does this mean??  Waukesha has an over supply of inventory. Around 14 months of inventory to be exact. This varies from price range to price range, and differs in various neighborhoods throughout the area, of course, but the overall picture would indicate that prices in Waukesha may decline slightly over the next several months, until this inventory starts to sell. If you are planning on selling your home, pricing it correctly with a thorough market analysis is an absolute MUS...

The city of Waukesha is the county seat for Waukesha County, a short 20 minute drive west on I-94 from downtown Milwaukee. Local people say that the streets were patterned off waundering Indian trails which would explain their one-way angular nature, and the often puzzled, "can't get there from here" expression. ...at last not the way you came !  If you are thinking about making Waukesha your home, click here and you can view the homes currently on the market in the area.  Some people say the name, Waukesha, pronounced Walk -i- shaw means fox or foxes from the Potawatomi Indian word Wauktsha.     One of Wisconsin larger cities, it has a population of 67,750, a median income of $53,670 and an average  home sale price of $228,422.  Even though it is only 20 minutes from Milwaukee, W...
