As I was recently going through the town of North Lake in the Lake Country in the Waukesha County Real Estate market I went down that little road right outside north of North Lake and went down past my grandmothers home. It brought back memories as I began to think about how she would have me go up by the railroad tracks in between North Lake and Stonebank and pick Asparagus which seemed everyday for a month. "How can this stuff grow so fast?" I always thought. I can remember asking her one day how all the asparagus got there. She said that in the Great Depression people that used to hop the railroad or walk the tracks that had no money would drop seeds or make sure others had something to eat. We get so caught up with all of the economy, everything that is taking place in the country, and looking at the big picture all too often. It really is reduced to one property, one family or person, and one smile at a time. I think one at a time each person and family I have worked with in the Waukesha County Real Estate market and the Milwaukee County Real Estate market have added up to a pool of friends and acquaintances I have been proud to work with.
