Brett Favre hung up the cleats today :( To see him go out near the top of his game was great, but not seeing him back in the green and gold next year will be different (if not dramatizing). He has accomplished pratically everything there is in the game and was a consistent winner. The thing I admire most is the fact that he stuck to what he was and what he was comfortable with. It was common to see him exit the team plane in a t-shirt and jeans. Always a jokester (remember the snowball?) and a man that played with a kids enthusiasm on every play. I think the Pack have a very good option moving forward in Aaron Rodgers. Chilly Fest The first annual Chilly Fest was a big success. In the park the chilli contest, an art show, ice carvings, as well as games were enjoyed by many.  Fred the BarberFred "The Barber" passed away recently after many years as a community symbol of excellent service. Fred will be missed by his many customers, friends and family. 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Village Park at 7pm is the place to be this March 21st as children from 5th grade on down are invited to participate in the events. So up here in Wiiiiisconsin we have quite a motley crew of sports teams. Some have tradition coming out of their ears, while some have newly found success, and others keep falling flat on their face! Here is a modest opinion regarding a few WI based sports teams. The Good The Green Bay Packers With such a mountain of tradition in the past, and what was supposed to be a 'rebuiling' phase in progress, I don't think most realistic Packer fans expected the romp through the season and all the way to the NFC Championship Game. Don't get me wrong, IT WAS GREAT!!! I think the best part I like about this team and organization is the fact that they 'keep the apple core strong by cutting out the worms'.
