A lovely 19 home neighborhood just to the west of Cottage Lake.  All of the homes in this neighborhood are at least 2,000 sq ft and have been built in 1994 or later.  The association has minimal restrictions (such as no RVs/boat parking, no commercial animals, and no removal of large trees) the main purpose of the association is the community ownership of 20 acres of permanent open space (native growth & protective easement). Many of the original homeowners still live her, in fact, based upon the minimal sales in the last several years, it is clear that the homeowners enjoy living here.by Michelle Blue, Realtorwww.WoodinvilleGuide.com

Brookside Country Club was built on the site of a former golf course - which explains the name since there isn't a country club there now.  This 1984 Street of Dreams neighborhood has approximately 59 homes, built by a variety of builders including Robert Egge, Gregorson, HeathStone, Montgomery and others.  Homeowners in this neighborhood enjoy large open yards (minimal fencing allowed) and the proximity to the Tolt pipeline trail.by Michelle Blue, Realtorwww.WoodinvilleGuide.com

On Fridays my wonderful broker, Ardell DellaLoggia takes fieldtrips to the listings of Brio realtors. She had already been out to see my latest Woodinville listing, a spacious 3340 sq ft 2-story home in the Reintree neighborhood, the previous Friday. Although the owner and I had gone through the house to prepare it prior to listing, Ardell felt that some additional staging was necessary, before an open House took place. I have been staging my listings for a number of years. With each listing, I normally re-arrange what is already in a house and/or I bring in a number of my own staging props. I have built up an eclectic collection of bric-a-brac over the years, which I re-use in my listings. In the past I have shopped for some of my listings, but under the guidance of Ardell, shopping bec...

Are you ready for winter?  Know how to put on tire chains?  Understand proper generator use?  Know how to use a fire extinguisher?  These seem like easy things to do, but every year there are a number of deaths reported because people used a generator without proper ventilation.  The city of Woodinville invites everyone to attend a Winter Safety Fair and Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodinville Fire Station 31 located at 17718 Woodinville-Snohomish Rd. NE.  Other stations in the area will also be hosting this event to help us all be better prepared for the winter. Station 31 is the Headquarters for WFLSD, and is the Primary Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for the Fire District and the City of Woodinville.                                        ...

It's always a great day in Woodinville, WA, (http://www.ci.woodinville.wa.us/)  a great city located a few miles out of Seattle.  And no wonder that its residents love living in Woodinville.   There are great neighborhoods & homes, parks, shopping, movie theatres and restaurants,(http://www.herbfarm.com/)  some of the Puget Sound area's best rated and most coveted schools (http://www.nsd.org/) plus an ever growing number of wineries! (http://www.ste-michelle.com/  http://www.columbiawinery.com/)  The lifestyle combines country living with big city amenities.  And in this modern day utopia, there are people that still care for their fellow human beings.  Take Lisa Norrgard for example.  Lisa, an optician, is also an artist.  When a space opened next door to her and her husband's thriving...

The Northeast may be famous for it's "Fall Colors" but the Northwest has them too!  The recent cooler temperatures have been instrumental in bring fall colors to the Cascade Mountains.  Here in the Puget Sound, the streets of Seattle and it's surrounding suburbs are vivid with the bright reds and yellows.  The many deciduous trees are getting ready for Halloween, dropping leaves and turning to the beautiful scenery we call the Puget Sound area.  This is just one reason we enjoy living in Washington.  Check out the mountain passes before the winter sets in, enjoy the beauty of Washington.  Here in Woodinville, we are enjoying it now!  Don't forget, "The Salmon are coming!"

There's a new boardwalk in Woodinville!  On October 6, 2007 the City of Woodinville will formally celebrate the recent addition to the Woodinville Rotary Community Park.  The recently completed project was a concerted effort of the Woodinville Rotary Club, local businesses, King County employees, numerous environmental organizations, students from Adventure School (Kirkland), and the Woodinville  High School track/cross country team.   This boardwalk has also received national acclaim through careful construction planning to protect the wetland environment and the use of recycled materials. From this boardwalk, visitors can view Little Bear Creek's habitat.  Fall run salmon can be observed in their natural environment.  Woodinville Rotary Community Park features a BMX/skate area, a rock...

Friday's Did You Know? Columbia Winery. Did you know that Woodinvilles Columbia winery is a transplant from Seattle? The winery was started in the Seattle neighborhood of Laurelhurst by a group of ten friends.  In 1976 the winery moved to Redmond where production reached 9,000 gallons.  From Redmond, the winery moved to Bellevue so they could expand facilities as they were cranking out 30,000 cases.  In 1998 Columbia winery moved to its current home in Woodinville and have an average annual production of 170,000 cases.  Columbia winery, its been all over Seattle's Eastside, and not just in our glasses!

You've heard of the elevator speech? Whatever you can tell somebody you've just met and who asks you "what do you do" in an elevator before, - ding - the door opens and your potential client exits. Here's my elevator speech: "I am a Realtor® who can list your home in whatever WA city you live and after about 10 days your home will appear among the first 3 pages on Google™ for the search "your-city home listings". There's a good chance it will appear on page 1. Why is this important? Because the more people know that your home's for sale the greater the chance you'll have a buyer."If my elevator guest gets interested I take him to a coffee shop I show him the proof that the FSBOW™ method works and how it works for my clients. FSBOW™ stands for For-Sale-By-Optimized-Web™. Let's look at my ...

Friday's Did You Know? Woodinville has always Rocked!  Did you Know? That this week, back in 1969 Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Santana played what was at that time, the Pacific Northwests biggest rock concert. The Seattle Pop festival was held at Gold Creek Park in Woodinville and hosted over 40,000 fans that came in from Seattle, and other parts of the Northwest.  The concert was one of the last pop concerts the Doors performed and is remembered in this article.  A quote from the article gives a good idea of the environment Gold Creek Park became."The tension there was high. Only a chickenwire fence separated the stage -and us - from 40,000 rock fans, fronted by a phalanx of screaming teenyboppers who had come out from Seattle for the day just to see Morrison. Black Panthers recruited b...
