Let me start by saying... buying a short sale or REO is not for the faint hearted. These are homes that may have sat for over a year empty, were neglected or abused prior to the former owners moving out, and quite possibly beat up purposely due to retaliation of a home being lost. Although some appear to be in great condition, neglect can cause interior damage unseen to the human eye.
