Walla Walla, WA Real Estate News

I watch the news and I read the news papers and it seems like everyday there is a devastating story about the state of our national economy. Someday's, all the gloom and doom forecast in the news makes you not even want to get out of bed, but we need to be looking at our local economies as well.  There isn't much on our local news though that reflects the state of Walla Walla's home market and economy.  Yes, this is a buyers market and there are deals out there that make for wise investment choices.  That is where I come in as a local real estate agent.  My days are consumed with monitoring what is going on in our market.  It is my job first and foremost to help you navigate the difficulties of today's market and educate you the buyer or sellers so that you are prepared and know what to...

I have been thinking a lot this weekend about why I love what I do.  And it really is, I love what I do.  I actually haven't been in Real Estate all that long.  I will give you a little background about what brought me hear.  I grew up in a family of Real Estate agents, contractors and entrepreneurs.  I always knew from the time I was a little girl that the only thing I wanted to do was work for myself. I have seen the ups and downs of owning your own business, but none of that ever seemed to matter to me.  I just knew I wouldn't be happy unless I was in charge of my own destiny.  About 3 years ago, I came to a crossroads in my life.  I had been successful at everything I did in my early 20's, then I settled down and started a family and made the choice to be a stay at home mom.  Now, I...

When you travel, a lot of times people will ask you where you are from and I always politely answer..."Walla Walla". I can't tell you how many times I get the where is that? Don't you grow onions there? Or, That's a funny name!  I am halfway used to that by now but things are changing, and for the better. The last time I was asked, where are you from, I proudly responded, Walla Walla, and the response was, don't you have a lot of wineries and vineyards there?  I was shocked, our little town has come a long way!  Why yes we do, was my answer, and a pleasant conversation ensued about everything Walla Walla is.  I love having this conversation with people because I am so proud of where I live.  Walla Walla is a small town (30,000+) in southeastern Washington.  Walla Walla is, in its origin...

I've come across a few nice vintage Walla Walla Washington photos dating back to the 1940s and beyond. These photos are from the Library of Congress, The Project Gutenberg, and/or Public Domain Flickr. To the best of my knowledge, all photos are for the public's use. Most pictures are from the 1940s, however, when hovering over the image you'll receive a brief description. Enjoy!
