Living in Mason County and searching through the past has been a past time of mine. I love History, especially that which pertains to my neck of the woods. Mason County has a rich history and a lot of fascinating events that have gone into making us who we are. When I first arrived here in 1984 it was a very different scene than it is today. There were lumberjacks,back woods men, and not everyone had a phone. It was very different than the life I was  accustomed to in Seattle. Life here  moved at a slower pace, and it still does. No matter how much we acclimate to a more sophisticated life one thing will always remain...the beauty of Mason County.  So whether you come and visit for a day or the rest of your life Historic Mason county is waiting for you.With events scheduled year round y... 01/22/2009

A quiet drive down the twisting south shores 106, will lead you into historic Union, Washington, This photo was taken at their marina on a misty morning, which cleared into a brilliant Northwest day, complete I might ad with a rainbow.
