Zoolights is Celebrating 25 Years at the Point Definace Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington, this holiday season. This is a great time for families who love the beautiful lights of the season.  There are over 500,000 lights which are spread throughout the Zoo and Aquarium area.  They are shaped to look like some of the animals that are in the corrals, cages and tanks.  Other lights are designed to be in the shape of other well known local features. In addition to a chance to zipline through the trees (in the semi-dark!), you could also see Santa scuba diving with the sharks.  There are many other opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of Zoolights.     12/14/2012

                              Well, after about 2 weeks of rainy weather in Tacoma, WA, the sun finally came out last weekend.  Now I know what you’re thinking, “it rains all the time in Seattle.”  Our winters are a lot of rain and drizzle, but summer brings nice weather, so to have a couple weeks of rain was wearing on us.  To celebrate we thought we’d take the kids out somewhere fun.   We decided on the zoo, and had a hard time getting a map and directions, so I figured I’d post them.
