“One's philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes... and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt I have been told stories all my life about what a great woman Eleanor Roosevelt was. She played cards with my Great Grandma and they were both very practical ladies. I admire her strength but more than that I admire who she was and what she left us with. When it comes to making an impact in anything, our actions speak far louder than our words, as to who we are and what we value. Look at your priorities and what you can't live without and you will know what you are living for.

A lot of people dream of one day owning their own business and being the boss. Having done it and owning Inferno Advertising, I happen to know it is as great as it sounds but it does come with a price. Owning your own business means you can set your own hours, if in the right environment- wear your PJs to work and decide how you are going to set up shop. And most importantly how you are going to keep the doors open.                                                       Many people rely on a smart business plan, being unique and offering something the market is missing. All of these of course are important aspects but what is the plan when something goes wrong? You can never over rely on excellent customer service and having fun at what you do. Thank you notes, smiles and going the extra...

The Evergreen Freedom Foundation conducted a non- partisan poll concerning how our Representatives voted on I-960. They were asked the following two questions: Do you support informing taxpayers about the cost of proposed legislation, and if so, will you vote to uphold I-960's transparency provisions? Do you agree with I-960 that two-thirds of the Legislature should agree before passing tax increases? Kathy Haigh answered...NO, to both. This may surprise some who are reading her literature stating that she is for open Government and listens to the people. If you take a closer look at her voting record you will see that she does not take into consideration what her voters think unless it agrees with her personal agenda. The poll conducted by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation is an importa...

Not if he is touring the Historical Societies old school house where his mother worked as a volunteer this weekend at Oysterfest. Barb Griffey was asked to remove her small Griffey 4 State House pin this weekend by staff at Oysterfest. She complied but not before asking about her freedom of speech being impaired by doing so. She was told that it was not just her and that workers were out in the parking lot removing any political signs they saw on cars. The gentleman who approached her let her know he was helping her out by not demanding she remove her t-shirt supporting her son Dan, as well. He was able to let her off because she had a coat to wear. The real concern came when Barb was told that Candidates and their families or associates who did this sort of thing "would feel the pinch ...

Kathy Haigh referred to Dan Griffey as A Tea Party Racist, then said she didn't, and then tried to get the Tea Party support after she deemed them dangerous. So what does Kathy Haigh really think? That she needs to say what ever it takes to get re-elected. From her stance on the Tea party to her stance on balancing the budget. You never know what she will come up with next...It is always changing. Lucky for her, so is her audience so she seems to get away with it election cycle after election cycle. These tactics are nothing new. A lot of the elected officials, such as Kathy Haigh, who do not want to be held accountable for not representing the people, excessively raising taxes, and supporting personal pet projects, have resorted to these gimmicks. What is new, is that the Liberals on t...

In a recent article in the Olympian, Kathy Haigh answered a question concerning the dire condition of the economy in Washington. The following is taken from that article.  "The editorial board was shocked, however, when we asked her about the daunting task of balancing the next state budget. Haigh said she would cross her fingers and hope for the best. Voters in the 35th District deserve better from their legislator." Dan Griffey wants to cut the red tape on businesses so they can grow jobs. He welcomes fresh ideas and has a handle on the needs facing the 35th District. It is not a matter of hope and maybe some change will fall in your pocket. It is about creating real jobs for our citizens TODAY! It is going to take hard work and determination to turn this economy around and Dan Griffe...
